truck driver/mover
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Truck Driver/Mover to join our team. In this role, you will handle the crucial tasks of transporting and managing various items, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading goods, vehicle maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, excellent driving ability, and a commitment to teamwork and customer service excellence. This role is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our logistics and contributes significantly to customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safely transport goods and materials to and from specified locations.
Load and unload items with attention to safety and damage prevention.
Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize routes and delivery schedules.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Conduct pre-operational checks on the truck and ensure maintenance is up to date.
Uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance with all transportation laws.
Assist in various moving tasks, including packing, sorting, and assembly as needed.
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS
Available to work at least 3 days per week.
Monday-Saturday.
Able to work within 8am-4pm timeframe.
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license in the state of Hawaii.
Clean driving record.
Experience in moving or transportation preferred, but not required.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform labor-intensive tasks.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
Our days are at times fast paced and we need partners that embrace that aspect of the business. We are looking for someone who is quick on their feet.
Hours vary, depending on what projects are happening and some weekend work may be required. We tend to be busy in spring and summer, but less busy in the fall and winter months.
We start every employee by having an initial trial period of one month. At the end of the trial period, we will assess if we are a good fit for each other.
